Denn die Band hatte immer wieder, mal kurze, mal längere, Auftritte in der Comedy-Serie Scrubs. Jene ist mittlerweile aber eingestellt worden, nachdem zwischenzeitlich ein radikaler Personalwandel wenig erfolgreich umgesetzt wurde. Umso mehr Zeit und Gelegenheit für The Blanks, Konzerte in aller Welt zu gebe.

Im Mittelpunkt bei The Blanks steht zweifellos “Ted”, der bemitleidenswert trottelige Anwalt aus Scrubs, verkörpert von Sam Lloyd. Aber auch seine Bandkollegen Paul Perry, George Miserlis und Philip McNiven haben ihr schauspielerisches und gesangliches Talent natürlich schon oft unter Beweis gestellt. Die Bühnenshow unterscheidet sich von herkömmlichen Konzerten allerdings durchaus, denn es ist eine Mischung aus Gesang und Comedy, die hier zur Aufführung kommt.
