„The Gardeners“ – Albumrelease im Sommer 2011!

„The Gardeners“ sind beileibe kein zartes Pflänzchen mehr, wenn es um ihre Bandgeschichte geht. Die Wurzeln der Band reichen bis ins Jahr 1996, als sich die Urbesetzung als Schülerband eines Gymnasiums zusammenfand (und damit soll dann auch Schluss sein mit den schlechten Wortwitzen in Bezug auf „die Gärtner“).

„The Gardeners“ bieten einen Mix aus Rock, Pop und Indie – mal ruhig, mal härter – sehr melodiös und vor allem immer abwechslungsreich. Sängerin Sylvie Ballman wird dabei unterstützt von Florian Kohler und Fabian Reif an der Gitarre, Alexander Igel am Schlagzeug und Markus Bosser am Bass. In dieser Besetzung gibt es „The Gardeners“ seit 2006.

Bisher hat die Band zwei Studioalben mit ausschließlich selbstgeschriebenen Songs veröffentlicht: „Leaving The Ground“ (2001) und „One Step Further“ (2004). „The Gardeners“ produzieren unter eigenem Label („Saint & Sinners“) im eigenen Studio. Dabei übernimmt die Band das komplette Paket: von der Aufnahme über das Abmischen bis hin zum Artwork für das entstehende Album. Und für den Sommer 2011 ist wieder ein neues Album geplant!

Aber auch live haben „The Gardeners“ Einiges zu bieten. In der Vergangenheit konnte die Band unter anderem auf der Popkomm in Berlin oder auf diversen Festivals (zusammen mit beispielsweise „Wir sind Helden“, „Guano Apes“ oder „H-Blockx“) unter Beweis stellen, dass sie zu recht auf Empfehlung von Rea (von „Reamon“) als vielversprechender Newcomer gehandelt werden.
